HANDS ON!
Artist David hall takes discarted wood and creates carefully carved pieces. Hall is a sculptor for whom his essential raw materials, hardwoods such as ask beech and welnut have always held a similar facination.
When he was younger and together with his writer wife Elleb,Hall travalled around the world thanks to his job with an international shipping company. One of the distinctive aspects of Hall's work is that he only ues discorder timber.
A recurring theme in his work is the juxtaposition of man and woman, where both physical and dispositional differences are playfully interpreted suggestive curves, bumps and crevices abound, mostly subtly, but sometimes quite blatantly.
Hall has sold his work to customers from the US, Germany,Britain and France.
