In the language room I saw the film Material gorls. In the film there are two girls that are very rich, they have a lot of money because before their father died, he had made a lot of money with de cosmetic's products.

But one day, when the girls had a ceremony in memory of their father, somebody put on a video! In this video we can see that their product are bad.

From this day the girls are poor and they try to save the name of their father.

Finally the girls demonstred that the product of their fatjer are good and the video was fals!

This pece of news talks about Vicenç Folgado who was born in Lleida and about his museum.

The Folgado collection, opened in 1999 and has over 100 motorcycles from Europa and US. All the exhibits from the museum are used regularly and often take part in rallies in Catalunya.

The owners of the museum said that everthing can be re-used.

The collections is the manifestation of one man's enduring passion for all mechanical things.

"Computer have made the world a better place?"

It seems that our society has become dependent on computer. But, despite the fact that computer are very popular, there are as many negative as positive aspects of using computer.

On the one hand, there are many reason why computer haven't made the world a better place. For example I believe technology has taught our youth to be lazy and disobedient. Technology has caused society as a whole to lose its creativity. What would some people do with out a computer to create their “work”? Not only that, it also sparks the urge for us to frequently say “I’m bored” when there is nothing on T.V, no one to talk to on the phone or no one online.In addition, The kids now instead of drawing with crayons on normal paper children have the option of drawing on a special board on the computer, and that it's worse because the kids now a days doesn't play the tradicional games with the others kids, they pass all the time alone with the computer.

On the other hand, there are many reason why computer have made the world a better place. For example, if we want to talk to someone in Africa, or china. We can because of the computer so the comunication is better with the computer.Moreover with the computer we can access any information we want, we can call a relative in another state, we can watch any movie without leaving home, everything is at home or show we want .

In conclusion I think that computer affects and changes a lot our society, but many of the changes affects us negatively.

"Is humour necessary to survive?"

In my opinion humour is a second necessity for living, because if you only see the bad things and not the good things, you will always be sad.

First of all it's better to live with happiness and enjoy life.Laughter was either a necessary or a sufficient condition of humor. If you are worried about your problems and you are stressed, when you are older you won't have good memories from your life!

Secondly, when you go out with your friends and if you only talk with then about normal things, it's very boring, however if you told jokes and you laugh a lot it's different, you enjoy yourself. It's true that humour depends upon the circumstances, the teller , the current beliefs of the listeners, and the relationship between the teller and the listener.

In conclusion , humour is necessary to survive, because if you laugh you have a longer life!

GREAT GRAPES

The Empordà may be Spanin's oldest winemaking region,but it is definitely not the best known.Yet over the past few years, a select number of wines coming from vineyard just inland from the Costa Brava have caught the attetion of international experts-

Hadder-Williams said a major factor in the area's growing reputation is the decision by some vineyards to make their own wine. Now Diego and Nuria Soto of Mas Estela are growing organic grapes and producing a range of read an white wines as well as the area's famous dessert wine, Garnatxa d'Empordà.
Laura Montero, technical director of the vineyard which is near Calonge in Baix Empordà, said that although still relatively inknown abroad the area affered plenty of possibilities. David Rovira, Perelada's export director, said that their wines are sold in 37 countries and that sales are growing by 20 percend annually.He addet that Perelada has boasted its profile through various cultural activities.

However they go about it, it would appear that the wire industry in Empordà is doing a good job at grabbing the attention of wine lovers around the world!

Artist David hall takes discarted wood and creates carefully carved pieces. Hall is a sculptor for whom his essential raw materials,hardwoods such as ask beech and welnut have always held a similar facination.

When he was younger and together with his writer wife Elleb,Hall travalled around the world thanks to his job with an international shipping company. One of the distinctive aspects of Hall's work is that he only ues discorder timber.
A recurring theme in his work is the juxtaposition of man and woman, where both physical and dispositional differences are playfully interpreted suggestive curves, bumps and crevices abound, mostly subtly, but sometimes quite blatantly.

Hall has sold his work to customers from the US, Germany,Britain and France.

" Too much importance is given to taking exams at school"

At school tha exams are very important to evaluate stundets, but not only the exams.I agree with this topic because the teachers give too much importance to exams and a little importance for the exercices in class, for the work at home.

In my opinion students learn more at home with the projects,homework and the work, than to study for the exams. A lot of students are studying a lor for the exams and when they do the exam they forget sll what they studied.

In addition,many exams are borring and the preparetion for test is dificult. In the world some students have a good capability to study quickly but others no. Some teachers give more importance to prepare the exam tahn to work the lesson and preparete at home. For this reasons the results are bad! I think the exams should be more practical than theory exams.

All in all, if you don't work at home or study a lot you won't pass the exams and this school give too much importance to exams. What we have to do is reduce the exams and di practical exams!

I agree with this because now days there are a lot of programmes that teach us to respect our world.

The first argument fore this topic is that people recycle paper.The other day a women telephoned me and she asked me about this toic and she tañked to me about the process to recycle paper.It is not very dificult to recycle because,they put a special container for the paper.

The second argument for this topic is that people don't cut down trees and they look after them.For me this is an principal argument , because the trees give oxigen, that it's very important for ours life.

My BEST FRIEND

The name of my best friend is Roxy,she is a special friend for me because she has helped me in various moments in my life. Roxy is from Romania and now she isn't here with me, but , we talk on the messenger . She's short, black-eyed and she's got long black hair. She is dark.skinned and she's got wide eyes.

Exactly 100 yers ago, excavation work began the Costa Brava at the Roman site of Empuries. The first Setllement in the area near the present day town of l'Escala was Pacte Polis,founted by Greek Colonists in 575 BCE an biult on an island at the entrance to the River Fluvia.
For over 300 years the Greeks traded ceramics jewellery and spices with the indignous Iberian people,the Indiketes.
In 195 BCE the Romans arrived setteng up their garrison at Empuries just inland from the Greek settlement. A visit to the site today is rewarding experience.There's plenty to see at Empuries,including the ruins of Several basilicas,temples and a gladiatorial amphitheatre and a museum with some fine examples of Roman art. One of our missions to find the remains of an indoor theatre,which we are convinced is buried somewhere.There is so much yet to discover here at Empuries,it could take hundreds more years.

Many churches accept donations of everuthing from music to baking pans ,which they then redistaibute as they see fit.

The international organisation Emaús,started in France over 50 years ago,helps people with problems related to social integration.

There are several branches of Emaus in Spain,which accept donations of books,clothes,furniture and other household goods.
People are invited to bring the old things and browse arounde for "new" items.But should you go strictly to give,rather than swap,that's fine too.

This news tells us about 3 festivals from Costa Brava and beyond,3 festival in the winter Season.
The first festival is "La Fira de l'Ave",medieval Espinelves plays host to fine and critical winter festival.For seven days , the village becomes a bustling fir market,accompanied by exhibition street theatre and live music.
The second festival is "Festa de Sabta Lúcia",six festival in honour of Lucy,the patron saint of blindness.The biggest is in Barcelona.
And finely "La Fira Avícola Roca Prat", this is a gastronomical festival that started on' 3th of December in El Prat de Llobregat. The locals prepare a particulary kind of chicken "pollastre de Pato Blavo".Also there are parties with traditional Catalan music and dances.

Dear Lluïsa Pintó,

I'm writing to tell you about the things that I don't like of the heigh school.

First the most important thing that I don't like is that: the heigh school isn't painted.Then, when we wanted to go to the toilet,there is no toilet paper or mirrons in the toilets.

In the corridors,there isn't any heating , it would be better if after the break there wasn't a teacher that we could go out. They coukd decoreted the class a little so the hours wouldn't be boring.

Last Christmes the heigh school was decoreted a little and this made the atmosphere more amusing. Truly this heigh school is safe and we have a lot of recourses to make an hour funny.

These are my idees about this heigh school and I hope the future they will help you.

Differences between the film and the book:

The Frankenstein movie of Graham didn't respect all the real story book of Marry Shelley, he had put some details and some scenes and facts that don't exist in the real story but I think that he made it to give some intensity and action to the movie. When we compare the tow works we can see along that some scenes had been added to the film for example, in the movie, his friend Henry and Victor met together when they arrived to the university, but in the real story the tow men were friends since their were children.

And other fact that we can expect in the film it's when the cholera appear in the university city
were Victor went to study and it was the cause that conduce the escaping of Henry but Victor didn't mind that and he continued his experiment, after that her love Elisabeth come to see him and to try to make him reasonable, this scenes doesn't appear in the book.

But more than this, the film maker put some others facts which are unreal in the Mary Shelley's book, and it's about a Scenes when after that the monster kill Elisabeth, Victor took her to resurrect her, and it also appear a fight between Victor and The monster to own Elisabeth who find her self ugly and finally she suicide because of not could stand his new form as a monster.

That were the most important differences that we can find between the movie made by Graham and the real story of Frankenstein. Well in my opinion I've prefer the book than the movie because the director put some fact to make the film more interesting maybe but he just arrived to make it unreal and a bit ridiculous with scenes which make more laugh in state of make you blue.

Sleepy Hollow

In the village there was a war, somebody cut off a man’s head in the forest, then they buried the body and the head. After a woman called Lady Van Tassel went in the forest and took the head. She did spell because the headless horseman told her to cut off people’s heads.
She was a witch and se was the step-mother of Ktrina. The step-mother kidnapped the girl and she took Ktrina to a windmill and her step-mother cut off a bit of hair and did the spells. With these spells ktrina was converted into a bad girl.
Then Ktrina went to her house where she lived with the Ichabod who wanted to discover what was happening in the village.
The aim of Ktrina was to make the boy leave the house and then the headless horseman could cut off his head. After the boy discovered they had cast a spell on her because she behaved very strange. He pretended that he didn’t know she was bad so he could continue the investigation to destroy the spell and hbe like she was before and discover who had cut off the heads.
Then he wants in the forest and looked for the special flowers and a piece of hair to destroy the spell.
When the boy had the flowers he went back to the house and while Ktrina was sleeping Ichabod cut off a piece of hair. He made a spell and gave it to her to drink. The step-mother lost the head and the headless horseman found it and went back to the tomb.
Finally Ichabod went back to his country and Ktrina stayed with her family.
